Cathrine Dufour, had an amazing show season in 2017, which she topped off by winning two individual bronze medals on top of the Danish team silver at the European Championships in Sweden. Aboard her Olympic mount Atterupgaards Cassidy (Caprimond x Donnerhall), she has already claimed four gold medals at the European championships for young riders and she was the Danish Grand Prix champion three years in a row. As the num- ber one Danish combination in the FEI world rankings, the pair is certainly expected to be part of the Danish team for Tryon. Atterupgaards Cassidy was bred by the same stud as
American Kasey Perry-Glass and her 15-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding Gørklintgaards Dublet were part of the U.S. team at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Outside the U.S., several DWB dressage horses are
vying for spots on the WEG teams of several different countries. One of the world’s most successful dressage riders, Edward Gal of the Netherlands, is the reign- ing Dutch dressage champion with the nine-year-old Danish Warmblood stallion Glock’s Zonik (Blue Hors Zack x Blue Hors Romanov). Te pair have com- peted very sparsely but have achieved remarkable results and scores up to 83.9% in Grand Prix Freestyle at the World Cup qualifier in ‘s-Her- togenbosch earlier this year. Glock’s Zonik, who is also a very successful breeding stallion, can possibly bring the Netherlands back in the com- petition for the individual medals at this major inter- national champi- onship. Denmark’s lead-
The most successful Danish dressage horse in recent time is Mistral Højris that helped his British rider Laura Bechtolsheimer to win several bronze, silver and gold medals at the European Championship, the World Eques- trian Games as well as the Olympics Games.

the successful Atterupgaards Orthilia (Gribaldi x Don- nerschlag), who was very successful with British Fiona Bigwood at the Rio Olympics and who is now on the Danish team with Agnete Kirk Tinggaard. From the same breeder is Smeyers Molberg (Michellino x Rambo), formerly Atterup Molberg, ridden by Marcela Krinke Susmelj for Switzerland. Tis pair, having won multiple Swiss dressage championships, has already competed at the Olympic Games and the World Equestrian Games. A new horse on the Swedish dressage team is the
highly talented grey mare Tørveslettens Quattro (Qua- terback x Carano), ridden by Anna Blomgren. Te pair booked several three- and five-star wins last year in their first season at the Grand Prix level, and they were soon shortlisted for the Swedish team. In addition to the many DWB dressage candidates for
Tryon, more than we can list here, the top show jumper Harry-K (Equest Carnute x Robin II Z) is very likely to be competing at the World Equestrian Games 2018 for Turkey under his regular rider Derin Demirsoy.
Under Marcela Krinke Susmelj the DWB gelding Smeyers Molberg is a multi- ple Swiss dressage champion and has competed at the Olympics as the WEG.
