7: German rider Michael Jung looked tense when FischerRocana FST was asked to jog three times at the final veterinary inspection, but she ultimately passed the jog and went on to finish second in the event. 8: Michael Jung and FischerRocana FST (Ituango XX x Rose II, by Carismo) leaving the start box on cross country. They were here to win their fourth champion title in a row at Kentucky, and even moved to first place after cross-country. The pair ultimately fell to second place overall after dropping a rail in stadium. 9: Phillip Dutton and Z, a ten- year-old Zangersheide gelding (Asca x Bellabouche, by Babouche VH Gehucht Z) owned by The Z Partnership, moved up from 16th
place after
dressage to fourth place overall with clear cross country and show jumping rounds. 10: Pony Clubbers, volunteering as ring crew on dres- sage day, shared some treats with judge Sally O’Connor during a break. 11: First time four-star competitor Sara Gumbiner crossed the finish line riding Polaris (Brandenburg’s Windstar X North River Lady), with her family cheering wildly in the background. Polaris is a 13-year-old Irish Sport Horse that she brought up the levels herself from Beginner Novice. Congratulations to a job well done. 12: Sharon White and her Irish Sport Horse Cooley on Show (Ricardo Z x Jogantina, by Grand d’Espagne) finished 8th
overall, moving up from 23rd place after dressage.
