Classic Brands To Launch New Upholstered Headboard Collection

By Elaina Hundley Positioning itself as a one-stop resource for sleep retailers, Classic Brands has de- veloped a collection of upholstered, easy- to-ship headboards. This stylish add-on product is an ideal compliment the brand’s extensive mattress portfolio. Offered in full, queen and king sizes, each of the six designs are available in multiple colors and feature design details that include nail head trim, decorative tape edge and deep button tufting to convey an upscale loft feel. With a variety of shapes including a high-back, shelter design version for dramatic presenta- tion, styles in the collection range from tradi- tional to transitional. In order to offer a sophisticated and com- pleted look, Classic Brands created an uphol-

stered platform frame with wooden slats to coordinate with the upholstered headboards. The frame is available in twin, twin XL, full, queen, king and California king. “By expanding our product offering to include these well-tailored headboards, we have created a seamless buying ex- perience for our retail partners, as well as for their customers,” said Michael Zippelli, president and chief executive officer of Classic Brands. “The new products are all easily shippable and easy to set up, making them the perfect e-commerce companion for our mattresses.” Priced to retail between $299 and $599 in queen, the beds will be sold under the com- pany’s DeCoro upholstery brand. Danican Introduces New Organic Linen Line And Custom Private-Label Container Program

By Gretchen Kast Danican is expanding its reach to home fur- nishing designers, retailers, distributors and manufacturers with a new custom-designed private label container program. In addition to spotlighting this new program at the spring High Point Market, the company will also debut its TrueStuff line of certified organic sheets and linens in the US. “Our TrueStuff fabrics are designed and developed exclusively by TrueStuff and man- ufactured in cooperation with our partners around Europe,” said Thomas Frismodt, Dan- ican’s CEO. “We offer the US marketplace contemporary and attractive organic designs. Many customers who are cautious about their sleep environment still want colors, style and fashion. They get that with TrueStuff along with a quality that is second-to-none.” For this new line, Danican worked with select European spinners, weavers and finishers—all of which are certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). The sheet and linen collection is made with

top quality combed yarns, spun from extra long staple certified organic cotton. The high-end TrueStuff Collection will be avail- able to the US market through Danican’s newly expanded home furnishings design- ers container program. “With both our TrueStuff organic program,

which we launched in Europe in 2009, and our overall custom-driven designer program, we are reaching out to unique designers and contemporary furniture stores at High Point,” Frismodt explained. “We have been very suc- cessful with our contemporary, Scandinavian inventory programs for discerning designers looking for something that is different.” “We are reaching out specifically to de- signers at High Point who have larger proj- ects that require the modern, contemporary, clean and distinct features we offer here at Danican,” continued Jonathan Weingarten, Danican’s US sales manager. Danican offers its customers greater pri- vate labeling support by helping them with designing, manufacturing, quality assess-

ment, pricing and shipping their products. The company’s worldwide Private Label Program is flexible and specifically meets the require- ments of retailers, distributors and manufac- turers in the United States.

“Danican makes private labeling easy and profitable for our customers worldwide,” said Frismodt. “We give our customers a real sto- ry, a custom-designed blend that meets the needs of customers who are big or small.” Visit danican.com
