his luxurious, award-winning, five red star hotel provides an intimate level of service with genuine attention to detail. Standing high above a dramatic coastline overlooking the Irish sea, in the south west of Scotland’s historic lowlands, Glenapp is a family owned baronial castle set in an area of outstanding and unspoiled natural beauty.

T Underneath its fairy-tale turrets and towers there are oak-

panelled rooms, rich fabrics and fine antiques. The castle is hidden from the rugged landscape by 36 acres of magical gardens filled with specimen trees and the unique Italian garden designed by world renowned Gertrude Jekyll. Each of Glenapp’s 17 guest bedroom suites are individually and luxuriously styled with a unique combination of fabrics, furnishing, antiques and art. All rooms are spacious, with fires for the winter months and with magnificent views over woodland and surrounding seas. The six-course tasting menu in our three AA

Rosette dining rooms is an experience not to be missed and the same exceptional quality and creativity shines through in our lunch and our luxury afternoon teas. Opening in 2018 is Glenapp’s unique Castle Penthouse Apartment which sleeps up to 8 people and will offer a personal chef and private butler service, private kitchen, a private dining and sitting room, cinema and billiard rooms, library, sauna, beauty treatment and massage room. The Penthouse Apartment is just under 6,000 sq. ft. and as it is at the top of the Castle offers 360 degree views of the stunning surrounding seascapes and countryside.

In addition, to the many activities available on and around the Glenapp Estate, the hotel’s boat is available for personal hire to explore this stunning part of Scotland and offers you a trip you won’t forget. This hotel is a rare gift, a castle hotel, a place of grandeur and elegance but also a home steeped in history.
