he Isle of Eriska Hotel, Spa and Island is a luxury hotel located on its own 300-acre private island, 100 miles north of Glasgow and 12 miles from Oban in Argyll. Accessed by a small bridge, Eriska offers peace and relaxation, surrounded by wildlife and the spectacular scenery of Loch Linnhe and the dramatic Morvern mountains.
The hotel, which is managed by Inverlochy Castle Management International, has 16 bedrooms, 5 spa suites each with a private garden and hot tub, six hilltop reserves with private hot tubs and balconies, two garden cottages also with private hot tubs and a three-bedroomed self-catering house. Originally a Scottish baronial 19th century mansion house, the traditional décor blends effortlessly with the contemporary. Throughout the ground floor of the hotel there are warming log fires. The Library, which has changed little in the last 100 years, is a fine place in which to relax and boasts an art deco fireplace.
Eriska offers superlative levels of service, sumptuous accommodation, fine dining and a myriad of indoor and outdoor activities for all ages, including a leisure centre with gym and swimming pool, a nine-hole golf course, driving range, clay pigeon shooting, a croquet lawn and water based sports. The Stables Spa is a haven of peace and quiet and features
ESPA and ishga products, some of which are harvested from the island which capture the nutrients of the sea. There are day and residential spa packages available.
The island has abundant wildlife and the many walks offer glimpses of Highland cattle, badgers, grey seals and otters which all add to the Eriska experience. The hotel is easily accessible from Glasgow by car, from Connel railway station which is 15 minutes away, by boat, helicopter or private plane.
