the city centre of Glasgow, lies Crossbasket Castle which originally dates from the early 15th century. Lavishly restored in 2016, the castle has 10 bedrooms including a Bridal Suite and a Gate Lodge at the entrance of the castle drive. The rooms are large and many have a lounge area. All have magnificent views of the grounds and the River Calder which runs through the estate. The Albert and Michel Roux Jr. Restaurant is set in the luxuriously decorated Baillie Room, adorned by gold leaf and opulent antiques and offers an experience of a bygone era. The tasting menus use the finest local produce with French influences and are a culinary experience that set new standards in Scotland.
