Welcome Messages

Aris Batsoulis Senior Vice President Corfu, Greece

Membership/Finance It is a great honor to be elected as a member of MedCruise Board of Directors, as Senior Vice President in charge of Finance and Membership. My main task will be to have a fruitful cooperation with the President and the Secretariat in order to develop financial reports, organize income and expenditure control and prepare future financial plans. Furthermore, my commitment will be to increase the number of ports and associate members, expanding the Association’s presence and influence in the cruise industry. I will make every effort to contribute to MedCruise‘s development and growth through cooperation with all the other members of the Board of Directors.

Laura Cimaglia Vice President Bari/Brindisi, Italy

Ports & Cities/Destinations The first time I joined a MedCruise event I realised how essential the Association is for increasing cruise business in the Port Members. Networking with cruise lines, learning about other ports' good practices and actively participating in MedCruise activities was of great encouragement.

As Junior VP for Small Ports I am happy to keep growing within the Association, particularly developing the remit I have been assigned by the President - Ports & Cities/Destination - which I find a very challenging relationship both for small and large Ports.

Figen Ayan Istanbul, Turkey

Professional Development My country and the world are facing rough seas. Our MedCruise association gives a shelter and platform to remain in unity and get stronger with all and each member of the amazing and resourceful region of the Mediterranean and its adjoing seas. During this term, I will be leading the Professional Development task in full cooperation with our President, our Board of Directors and our valuable members. Given the tools supplied by our 100 plus destinations from 20 different countries we will all continue pouring our creativity and vision, communicating them to cruise lines and the entire cruise industry in 360º degrees manner.

Cherifa ben Salem Tunisian Ports

North Africa I am honored to represent the Tunisian ports in MedCruise one of the most dynamic associations in cruise offering significant tools for the promotion of cruise ports in the Med. It is my great pleasure to be in the MedCruise Board of Directors As a MedCruise member, I am extremely pleased to be in charge of relation with North African ports and I would do my best to promote cruises in this region, and I am confident that the association will continue to support our efforts to revive the cruise sector in all magnificent destinations and ports in North Africa.
