Congratulations to Laura Norman ’07 who completed her CPCU and RPLU insurance designations and is now enjoying travelling the world with her job at Marsh & McLennan Companies.


Danielle Farrington ’07 has just completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Chicago. Danielle hopes to specialise in Nephrology, a specialty of medicine and pediatrics that concerns itself with the kidneys.


2010s


Carolita Joseph ‘10 is pleased to share that she was recently promoted to Senior Audit Associate at KPMG Philadelphia, in their Asset Management Industry. Carolita has worked at KPMG since September 2015, after graduating from Penn State University.


Jessica Lewis ‘11 had a very busy summer competing on the para athletic circuit. In June, she competed at the Bermuda Invitational Permit Meet. There were 72 athletes competing and, for the first time ever, there was a wheelchair race allowing Jessica to race in front of a home crowd. In July, Jessica travelled to Ottawa for the Canadian Track and Field Championships where she won gold in the T53 100m and 200M, silver in the 800M and bronze in the 400M. She also recorded a season-best time in the 100M race. In London, later in July, Jessica competed in the World Para Athletics Championships. While she narrowly missed out on a medal in the T53 200M race, placing 4th, she recorded a personal best time in that event. She also secured a 5th place finish in the 100M and another season best time in the T53 400M race.


No stranger to the BHS stage, Hailey Manuel ’12 was excited to share that she is now a drama teacher in London, when she was back in Bermuda this Summer.


Georgé Wilson ’12 graduated from the University of Manchester in 2015 with a BA in Economics and Social Studies and achieved a 2:1. In 2016, Georgé then graduated from UoM with a MSc in Business Analysis and Strategic Management, attaining a first overall. She began working at Deloitte in August 2016 as an Audit Associate and is now studying towards her ACA (accounting) qualification.


After recently graduating from Acadia, Samantha Alves ’13 travelled to 16 countries around Europe. She plans on working as a travelling food critic.


On June 26th, alumni from the class of 2003 – 2017 met up at Harry’s to catch up with classmates for the second annual Young Alumni Summer Social. It was a great chance to re-connect and find out what everyone has been up to.

After transferring from one university in the countryside to another in London, Makaela Richardson ‘14 saw the opportunity to make life easier for busy students in the city, starting up Free the Fresher, a subscription service which offers delivery of stationery, kitchenware, bedding and even a hangover kit direct to students’ doors, as well as exclusive discounts at major businesses.
