Pain Medicine

Introducing Flarin

The new generation of ibuprofen now available at LloydsPharmacy - as effective as prescription- strength ibuprofen at relieving flaring joint pain

According to the British Pain Society there are 10 million people in the UK who experience pain everyday. From headaches and period pain to tooth ache and joint pain, there are many different types of pain that people can experience. Joint pain, for instance, can make carrying out daily activities difficult. There is a range of things you can do to help manage your pain.

Ibuprofen is a popular choice to help manage pain flare-ups, and for those who require prescription strength, a new product which is as effective as prescription medicines is now available without a prescription. Flarin 200mg lipid-ibuprofen soft capsules is the newest pain relief

product now available in your local LloydsPharmacy. If you regularly struggle with joint pain, Flarin is as effective as prescription-strength ibuprofen at relieving flaring joint pain according to the recent Flare study published by Osteoarthritis and Cartilage Journal.

When can Flarin be used? It is designed to provide relief from rheumatic or muscular pain, back pain, and the pain of non-serious arthritic conditions caused by swelling, stiffness and inflammation. As well as providing relief for joint pain, Flarin can be used for relieving sharp nerve pains, dental pain, period pain, feverishness, as well as cold and flu symptoms. It is also the first, and only, over-the- counter lipid-formulated ibuprofen which is clinically proven to relieve flaring joint pain. If you find prescription-strength ibuprofen often causes stomach problems, Flarin might be better for you. This is because the Flare study found that Flarin caused fewer incidences of stomach-related side-effects than prescription- strength ibuprofen.

Other ways to reduce pain: Gentle exercise such as walking or swimming can help block some pain signals. Also try to get enough sleep and relax, as being stressed can make pain worse.

*Flarin 200mg soft capsules is available in packs of 30 for £9.95.

*If you’re not sure whether Flarin is the right product for you, ask your Pharmacist for advice. Always follow the instructions. Do not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose. Find your nearest store by using the Store Locator at LloydsPharmacy.com
