Health Pharmacy services We’re here to help
Whatever your everyday health or medicines concern, who should you see first? Your friendly neighbourhood Pharmacist, of course
Pharmacies aren’t just for picking up your prescriptions or buying everyday essentials such as soap and toothpaste. They can also provide all the everyday health advice you may need and, most importantly, your Pharmacist can tell you everything about the medicines you’re taking and how to manage them effectively. Pharmacies are also open throughout the day and often
on Saturdays too. Plus you don’t need an appointment to speak to your Pharmacist about your health concerns. In other words, for most ailments they should be your first port of call, since not only do they offer convenience but they can also be the quickest way of getting any help you may need with your health. You might be surprised to hear about the range of
services available at your local LloydsPharmacy – here are just some of the services on offer:
• Help with managing asthma and COPD • Cholesterol and heart check • Type 2 diabetes screening • Help with giving up smoking • Help with managing pain
Making medicines easier If you need help with managing your medicines, we also offer a free NHS-funded service Medicine Check Up, which gives you tailored advice to help make your life easier. If you have any questions or concerns about your medicines, a Medicine Check Up gives you the opportunity to talk things through with your Pharmacist. It can also confirm when and how you should be taking your medicines, so you get the maximum benefit from them.
10 All About You A Medicine Check Up only takes about 10 minutes, and
you’ll leave feeling confident that you’re really getting the most out of your medicines. Your neighbourhood Pharmacist is here when you need
them to offer expert advice and support for a range of healthcare concerns. Come and speak to our Pharmacist at your local LloydsPharmacy: find us at

Top tips for remembering your
medication If you take one or more medicines on a regular basis it’s not always easy to remember what you’ve taken and when. So here are our top tips to make sure you never miss a dose:
• Make a timetable highlighting the days and times you need to take your medicines and put it somewhere you’ll see it all the time, such as on your fridge. You could even set up alarms on your mobile phone to remind you.
• Buy a pill box from your pharmacy – these handy little devices can help you remember when to take your tablets and make sure you take the correct dose.
• Get into a habit of taking your medicines at certain times of the day – with breakfast, for instance, or when you’re watching your favourite TV soap.
• Keep the medicines you take with or after meals next to your kettle or near where you make your food (if you take any before bed, put them on your bedside table).
Make sure to store all medicines out of reach of children
