LIVE 24-SEVEN - MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT CRANES MUSIC MAKE IT A MUSICAL NEW YEAR
Cranes Music was established in Liverpool in 1851. The picture above shows George Crane circa late 19th century outside of the very same showroom that Steve Grice, current director of Crane Music, walked into in 1974 to be trained in all aspects of the music business.
Below is Steve outside the current Cranes Music showroom in Worcester today. Can you tell the difference?
Today the store in Worcester would amaze and delight George, the incredible array of instruments available and displayed for their customers ease is beyond impressive and the technology that is available has certainly revolutionised the customers’ ability to make music! One such instrument would be the digital piano which has taken the place of the modern acoustic pianos in many respects. Small, portable and full of the latest technology to include Bluetooth, audio recording and playback as well as USB for connection to tablets and computers, there are endless possibilities for creating your own sound and of course, no tuning is required!
Makes such as Yamaha, Roland, Korg and Casio can be seen at Cranes together with a superb selection of overhauled pianos. Steve has kept all the best traditions of the old company with emphasis on overhauling old pianos and incorporating a music school (The Worcester Academy of Music), which teaches; piano, keyboard, guitar, drums and now boasts an impressive high tech music room.
