Since 2010, IFH has continued to
build on Spa Lady’s impressive culture of service and outstanding group fit- ness programming. Spa Lady had al- ways been known as a leader in group fitness, boasting classes of 80-100 participants. Today, the group fitness programming remains strong with its traditional class offerings, such as step and high/low, and the addition of trending boutique-style classes, in- cluding barre, cycle, and heart rate training classes. IFH also has a strong focus on high
calibre personal training. Today, each club boasts a strong team of personal trainers, specializing in small group training. In 2016, Spa Lady opened two new
clubs, one in Calgary’s northwest and one in Edmonton’s southwest. These new additions have surpassed initial growth expectations and have proven that Spa Lady’s culture is welcomed by the marketplace. Spa Lady is special because of its
culture. As a women-only club, its fo- cus is ensuring that all members feel
like they belong. Because most people are intimidated by fitness clubs, the club hires only passionate fitness pro- fessionals who provide an outstanding level of personal service to help wom- en feel comfortable in the fitness club environment. FBC
Scott Wildeman is senior vice-president of International Fitness Holdings, which owns Spa Lady, World Health and Bankers Hall fit- ness clubs.
