CANCER RESEARCH UK CHRISTMAS COFFEE MORNING Saturday 18th November, 10am-12noon St. John’s Church Hall, Macaulay Road, Broadstone. Many stalls and raffl e with great prizes. Entrance £2 (includes coffee/tea and mince pie).
FRIENDS 4 UPTON LIBRARY ART COMPETITION
We are holding a children’s art competition with a prize of £20 for the winner of each age category: 4-7 years and 8-11 years.
The theme for this competition is: Firework Night Entries should be on A4 paper and can be drawn or painted (no collages). Please write your name, age and contact number on the reverse of the picture. Entries to be submitted to the library by 7th November.
A display of the pictures will be on show in the library on Saturday 11th November and the winners will be announced at 10.15am. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome
TALK BY DAME ANNETTE BROOKE Wednesday 29th November at 7.30pm
If you or your family are affected by Dementia, come along to Upton Library where Dame Annette Brooke will be speaking about ‘Supporting People with Dementia in Local Communities’ with examples from Broadstone and Corfe Mullen.
Although not an expert herself, Annette will be able to offer some useful advice.
50p for members of F4UL and £2 for non members. Refreshments will be served during the evening.
