SOLAR POWERED BATTERY MAINTAINER Batteries don’t like being left especially in the cold. If you cannot take them home make sure they are kept in condition by connecting a Solar Powered 12V Battery Trickle Charger/Maintainer designed to trickle charge 12V lead acid batteries with no additional running costs. Ideal for boats left standing for long periods, as well as for maintaining batteries. The built-in blocking diode prevents reverse charging from the battery to the solar panel at night. The solar panel can be connected directly to your battery, or used through your 12V accessory socket and will slowly trickle charge the battery. It is not designed to charge a bat- tery completely from flat; however, it will maintain a battery by keeping it topped up when it is not in use. For bigger batteries consider using a higher wattage solar panel.
