South Hams Art Winter is coming

Y

ou might be forgiven for thinking that winter has already arrived given the wild weather we have had recently, but for

many it is a favourite time of year. Brisk walks in the countryside or by the coast are rewarded with a warming drink by a roaring fire. Crisp clear skies and short days add a different light to the landscape, presenting new challenges, and opportunities, to our artists as they try to capture the soft glow of winter. Winter is also the season of goodwill and an excellent time to snap up a bargain at one of the many charity auctions taking place around the county. The Brownston Gallery is holding its annual art auction on Thursday 19th

October. Our gallery

artists have all donated a piece of art and all proceeds raised will go to the wonderful Devon Air Ambulance. Contributing artists include Robert Lenkiewicz, Jerry Browning, Barry Kelly, Michael Hill, Mike Moss, Teresa Pemberton, Charles Jamieson, Julie Ellis, Tony Parsons, Melanie Deegan, Ian Shearman, Ray Balkwill and many more.
