Welcome to the September issue
It’s back to school already! There are lots of new clubs starting this month, so take a look at page 37 for VeraFlow, Pilates and Body Balance classes, page 39 for Pilates and Art classes, and the Junction Leisure Centre has a special offer on membership in September on page 6. There are also a number of local events as always, see pages 40-41.
In this month’s issue, the Corfe Mullen Carnival Committee thank all of their sponsors for 2017 (pg6), new Parish Priest Jane Burgess introduces herself (pg34), and Peter Jones updates us about a number of local dementia initiatives, such as health walks and carpet bowls and the opening of the new Wellbeing Centre (pg44) for those with dementia and their carers.
Believe it or not, it’s time to think about spring bulbs. Chestnut Nursery has some good advice on what to plant and will be having an Autumn Plant Sale on Saturday 16th September (pg22). It’s also a good time of year to check your pet’s health, particularly in relation to arthritis. Hillside Vets explains what to look for and what to do if you suspect your pet might be affected (pg21).
