06 AUGUST Run Norwich

It’s time again for Run Norwich, the third time around the block for the 10 km road race through Norwich city centre. Last year over 4,200 runners pelt it round the route past some of Norwich’s most iconic landmarks. With music and entertainment along the route there’s loads to keep spectators occupied whilst waiting to wave at your loved ones sweating past you. It’s sold out for runners, but let’s all go along to support these brilliant and fit folk, a lot of whom are raising money for charity. It starts at 9.30am outside City Hall, so head up there early and claim your spot.

Top recording and stage star Joe McElderry heads to our fine city on 6th August to perform a host of songs from his album Saturday Night At Te Movies. He’ll be joined by fellow West End performers. From August 29 to September 2, the smash hit Te Curious Incident Of Te Dog In Te Night-Time returns. Based on the best-selling novel and boasting a host of awards, this is a definite must- see show. Shirley Valentine has been revived to mark its 30th anniversary from September 5th-9th, and Northern Ballet late September with Te Little Mermaid, a spectacular version of the classic fairytale. Finally a few more dates for your diary include Te Railway Children (July 31-August 5), Blood Brothers (September 19-23), and the theatre’s annual free Open Day when you can have a glimpse behind the scenes on August 26.
