September 22 – 24 Canterbury Food & Drink Festival


Dane John Gardens and City Centre, Canterbury Savour the county’s best food and drink at this three-day food festival – reputedly the biggest in Kent. Whitefriars and St George’s Street will become “eat streets” for the duration, showcasing some of London’s best street food. There will be over 100


traders, two music stages, a


dedicated kids’ field, festival bar and ample seating. 10am-6pm daily.

September 29 Gerald Dickens Presents The Life & Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby Revelation St Mary's Ashford Gerald Dickens is a great- great-grandson of the author Charles Dickens. Inspired by the RSC’s eight- hour production of Nicholas Nickleby, Gerald’s version packs the plot into just 90


minutes. Travelling with Nicholas across the country we meet some of Charles Dickens’ greatest characters: Wackford Squeers, Smike, Vincent Crummles, Newman Noggs, Sir Mulberry Hawk and many others. Wear Victorian costume and receive a free glass of wine.
