Opened Spring 2016, on an unsuspecting corner where Bankers Hill and Hillcrest meet, Royal Stone is a locally-owned restaurant and wine bar that emphasizes dining as a special time for gathering with friends and family. It’s a holdover from owners (and husband-wife team) John and Jackie Stone’s Italian and French heritage. As residents of San Diego for more than thirty years, the last ten spent in Bankers Hill mere blocks from Royal Stone, John and Jackie Stone have always enjoyed the world of food and wine, drawing inspira- tion from their European mothers.
