THERE’S STILL time to join the Sum- mer Reading Challenge at Alvechurch Library, with plenty of exciting events both at the library and at Croome Park in Pershore. This year’s theme is Animal Agents. If you’re 12 or younger and think you can read six library books before Sep 23, pop along to the library to sign up.


l On Tues July 11, there’s an animal- themed storytime for little ones from 11–11.30am. Free event.


l On Weds July 26, visit Croome Park from 10–4pm to enjoy a brilliant day with bestselling author Mark Lowry and master storyteller Peter Chan, and the Unfold Theatre Company performing throughout the day. Free event.


l On Mon July 31 the library hosts an Agent Workshop. From 2.30–3.30pm you can sign up to become an Agent – ac- cept your mission, complete your identi-


ty card, solve the mystery of the missing books and become a fully-fledged secret agent. Please book through the library for this event.


l Patrick’s ongoing Spanish and French language courses have a few spaces at the moment. Classes run three times a week on Tues, Thurs and Fri and will con- tinue throughout the summer holidays.
