With the summer months ahead of us, is

your skin ready for summer or are you still singing the winter blues? Skin is the largest detoxifying organ of

the body. While your skin is resilient, it can really suffer from the weather changes we encounter here in the Northeast. Winter is harsh with its wind, cold temperatures and low humidity, leading to itchy, dry, irritated skin. Then we add the additional movement from indoors to outdoors, adding to the equa-

tion these extreme changes have on our skin. The result is dry, lusterless complexions. By the time, we transition to spring with high humidity and warmer temperatures your skin is screaming for help. There are many solutions for you to reboot your skin to

more radiant complexion and luminosity. First, increase your use of Antioxidants, an Antioxidant helps with protection of Free Radicals, which the skin is bombarded with every day, 365 days a year. Next, supplement your skincare regimen with a Collagen Booster. Both of these are nutrition for the skin and need to be added topically to stay ahead of the forces of aging. The most important application is your Sunscreen. There are

two types of Sunscreen, Chemical and Physical. Chemical Sunscreens allow UVA/UVB Rays to penetrate the skin and then there is a chemical reaction, which converts the UV Rays into heat and then releasing it from the skin. The jury is still out on the long-term effects of this chemical reaction within the skin system. I prefer Physical Sunscreens as they physically block the UVA/UVB rays from the Skin Structure. As the name implies the UVA/UVB rays are bounced back off the skin with a Physical Sunscreen, therefore there is no penetration of the harmful UVA/UVB Rays. Your Esthetician will recommend a Facial so your com-

plexion can be revitalized with a Custom Exfoliating Mask that rejuvenates your skin type. Once the elimination of the dead skin cells has taken place. Your Esthetician can begin the Restoration of your Radiant Complexion that will take you through the summer months with Hydration, Balance and a Luminous Glow.
