Congratulations to our members who were recently rewarded for their business efforts at The Herald Business Awards. Six Devon Chamber of Commerce members won awards at the ceremony, congratulations to:

Health and safety firm continues to expand


Plympton-based SSG Training and Consultancy are excited to be opening their new training centre in Worcester in May 2017. The new site will be in addition to their already successful five training centres based throughout the West Country from Cornwall to Bristol. The company, which provides a range of health,


safety, environmental and HR services from their head office in Plympton, has seen steady and continual growth over the last 20 years. Last year alone, SSG provided training to over 13,000 delegates.


Currently, SSG employs over 50 team members


across the region which looks set to grow as the company continues to expand. SSG provides a vast range of health and safety and HR services to regional and national businesses from all industry sectors, aiming to inspire people and businesses to work safely and sustainably. Mark Salmon, Managing Director of SSG, said:


“We are extremely pleased to be expanding our coverage across the south west and into the midlands. This is an exciting opportunity for SSG to develop new client relationships.”
