Brewin Dolphin promotes duo to Assistant Director positions
Wealth management experts Vicky Eastwood and Rory Kilbride have both been promoted to Assistant Director. Vicky, from Aylesbeare, works in Brewin Dolphin’s Exeter office and Rory, from St Germans in Cornwall, works with the company’s Plymouth team. Their new roles mean the pair will be taking on significantly more
responsibility, managing and growing their private client base, working collaboratively with other offices in the group, mentoring younger Brewin Dolphin staff and forging relationships with professional intermediaries like solicitors and accountants across the South West. Vicky has worked for the independently owned, award-winning company
for more than a decade, having joined as a trainee, after beginning her Wealth Management career with Goldman Sachs in London before moving to Devon. “Being promoted to Assistant Director is much the same as
a lawyer becoming an associate,” said Vicky. “As the mother of three young daughters, I’m delighted to be progressing in a forward-thinking company where I feel there are no gender barriers. My day-to-day work will still be focussed on my clients, which is why I chose this career in the first place, but I will have more responsibility. I really love being part of the Brewin Dolphin family and am very proud to be contributing towards its continued growth and success.” Rory started training with the company in 2009.

He left for a brief period in 2011 to run his own business in London before returning to Brewin Dolphin in Devon 18 months later. “For me, promotion means having a voice to help build the way in which we work with clients,” said Rory. “We operate in a very competitive
Assistant Directors Vicky Eastwood and Rory Kilbride industry and it’s important to stay one step ahead by
continually thinking about the next generation of investors and what they want to achieve. “Economics and analysing changes in macro-economic data and news flow is an exciting part of what we do – and something I really
enjoy. Delivering clients’ objectives is also hugely rewarding.” In addition to its bases in Exeter and Plymouth, Brewin Dolphin is set to re-open its Truro office later this month.
