Sawyer has served as the Professional Development Transporta- tion Council chair for the California Association of School Busi- ness Officials as well as for the local San Diego/Imperial County chapter for nine terms and counting. His valued contributions in
community leadership and special education transportation have been recognized by the California Association of School Trans- portation Officials, the California Highway Patrol and the North Coastal Consortium for Special Education. Sawyer said he and his team “have a really good thing going.” And they’re in it for the long haul. “I am very fortunate and bless- ed to be where I’m at right now,” he added.
