Jenn Strang Senior Manager of Marketing

Publisher, Printing Industries of America: The Magazine

I’m pleased to be addressing you as the new Publisher of Printing Industries of America: The Magazine. This is our first issue as a new team and we’re excited to bring you this year’s Summer Forecast, which includes the 2017 InterTech™ supplement.

Technology Award

There are many exciting technologies on the horizon for the printing industry, and we’ve set out to give you a sneak peek at what trends might be appearing on your radar very soon. These include a great new mailing feature being rolled out by the United States Postal Service in which customers can now subscribe to receive a digital preview in their email inbox each day before the mail even reaches the mailbox. We also cover luminescent inks for use in marketing and safety and security printing, along with the future of fabric printing. In this issue we also profile the Women in Print Alliance, which is making strides in bringing more women to the print world and fostering mentorships for future growth.

If you are planning to attend PRINT 17, please stop by our booth #3802 to say hello and meet our team. Also, we are always striving to find fresh new content and make improvements to The Magazine so please send your ideas, feedback, and questions to magazine@printing.org.

CORRECTION: In the July 2017 issue of The Magazine, NAPCO Inc. was incorrectly identified on page 1 as a commercial printer. They are a North Carolina-based custom packaging manufacturer. For more information about the company, please visit their website at www.napcousa.com. Our apologies for any confusion.
