Q. What’s your top tip for an agent attending the AAAs for the first time this year? A. Pace yourself and have fun!
Q. What are your standout memories of previous AAAs? A. As a new supplier to the trade, last year was the first AAAs we had attended and we were very impressed with the sheer number of agents attending, which gave a great atmosphere – charged with much excitement!
Q. What experience do you have of winning awards and what does it mean to your business? A. Saga is honoured to have been recognised many times by our customers and were delighted to win more than 50 awards in 2015. To be voted best operator and/or cruise line by our customers really validates how great our holidays are and just how much is included in our pricing. And to be nominated
by travel agents for the first time in some of the Globe award categories was very exciting and shows we are doing all we can to support travel agents with great holidays that their customers will love.
Q. How do you see the future for the agency sector
– both in the short-term and long-term? A. Travel agents are a vital booking channel and Saga recognised that many customers prefer to visit their local agent for personalised help and advice. This is why Saga decided to open up its range of holidays and cruises to travel agents, allowing
existing and potential Saga customers to book through their local travel agent.
