Help These Kids Have an Extra Special Christmas!
Imagine a child without Christmas memories. No memories of sitting on
Santa’s lap. No memories of the excitement that so many children feel on Christmas morning as they rush down the hall to see that glowing tree with all of the beautifully wrapped gifts beneath it. Services the above lines describe them perfectly. Their young lives have been filled with emptiness, sorrow, and trauma. They have been solely fo- cused on survival and seldom to never focus on just being a kid, let alone the joys and traditions that the Holidays bring. Now imagine life here at Rancho
Damacitas, especially around the Holidays. Our six homes are filled with the sights and sounds of the season. Each home is beautifully decorated with the glow of lights, the scent of evergreen spreading through the house from the big tree in the corner next to the fireplace. Hanging from the mantel are eight stockings, one for the house-mom and dad, and six for the kids that live in the home. Each kid has filled out his/her wish list and they can hardly wait for Christmas morning so they can see if they will get exactly what they have asked for. We work hard to make the Holidays special for our kids. We feel that they deserve it, and that they need to experience the joys that only the Holidays can bring. You can be a part of helping our
kids have an extra special Christ- mas. You see, back in July we had our kids gather around the table and we encouraged them each to draw some Christmas pictures. We dec- orated the room with a tree, adorned the fireplace with evergreen and gar- land, and even served our version of a Christmas punch and amazing red and green cupcakes. We then took the very best of the drawings and had them made into beautiful Holi- day cards and a single limited edi- tion ornament. By purchasing these lovingly
