to do with Generation W is about educating, inspiring and connecting women. People really leave energized [and] with all of those things. People have made changes in their careers, changes in their lives, they’ve met new friends, they’ve learned things and looked at the world differently. So, all of that contributes to a stronger family structure…and a stronger community.

Are men welcome at Generation W events? Absolutely. We have a growing group of men. I actually have

a lot of community leaders who are men who are raising their hands and saying—listen, we want to be involved—let’s do something. So we are going to look at doing more of that as well.

What is the ultimate goal of Generation W? It’s to build a community. A community that finds strength

in each other, finds the kind of resources in each other that helps them come together and create a better world for which they live in. Tat’s the goal.

What we really try to mirror is this ability to dig deep.

Because while we have people come from all over the country to this event, the largest percent are people who live here. Te idea is—we live here together, let us learn to live together in the best possible way and make it even better.

What do you think the message of Generation W gives to your children? I think what it says to them is getting involved and giving

back is an important value of our family, and one that we believe is an important value for being a citizen.

What can we expect from the 2014 Generation W event? Tis year is called “Imagine the Possible.” Te idea here is to

encourage people to use their imaginations, and move imagination to action as well. It’s as much imagining the possible, having the courage to speak out loud what your imagining is, and then figuring out together how to make that all possible. We’ll have people who will talk about new ideas; it’s about innovation and inspiration. But it’s also about activation as well.

Te 2014 Generation W event will be held at University of

North Florida in the Lazzara Performing Arts Center on April 4, 2014. For more information about Generation W or to become a part of the generation, visit genwnow.com.
