AIRBRIDGECARGO OPERATES FIRST FLIGHT TO SOCHI


AirBridgeCargo Airlines has completed the fi rst of a series of charter fl ights from Frankfurt to Sochi with a shipment of sports equipment.


Cargo transportation to the Russian regions is a very popular product within Volga-Dnepr Group’s ‘Cargo Supermarket’ service offering. The airline expects to see growing demand for capacity to Sochi, host city of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.


The new service will primarily cater for the needs of companies engaged in the construction of various sports and infrastructure projects in the city, ensuring the timely and safe delivery of sports equipment and materials. It


will also provide other AirBridgeCargo customers with a direct uplift solution for general cargo to this dynamically developing region of the Russian Federation.

SERGEY REZNIKOV BECOMES VICE PRESIDENT OF VOLGA-DNEPR UNIQUE AIR CARGO (USA)


Volga-Dnepr Group has appointed Sergey Reznikov as Vice President, Volga-Dnepr Unique Air Cargo (USA).


He succeeds Konstantin Vekchine, VP for Sales & Marketing, Charter Operations Subgroup, who decided to leave Volga- Dnepr Group after 15 years.


Konstantin Vekchine personally contributed to Volga-Dnepr Group’s sales expansion in the U.S. market. Under his supervision, Volga-Dnepr Unique Air Cargo successfully executed


Airlines delivered an ice skating rink to Guatemala and in 2012, transported equipment for participants of the Biathlon World Cup 2011/2012. Last year, for the fourth year in a row, Volga-Dnepr Airlines’ aviation expertise in Russia was called into action to support the air unit participating in the Silk Way Rally 2012.

Sergey Reznikov has a 17-year career with Volga-Dnepr Group. He joined the company as a sales executive and reached the level of Deputy Sales Director. Mr. Reznikov will strive to further enhance the position of Volga- Dnepr in the North American market and to offer an extended scope of services in line with the Group’s ‘Cargo Supermarket’ marketing concept to major customers, such as Boeing, Loral Space & Communications, General Electric, Lockheed Martin, Exxon Mobil, Chevron and many others.
