Leisure Centre will feature a hi-tech two-sto- rey wall of glass to create a shop window for sport. Award-winning architects Faulkn- erBrowns have come up with the vision, which includes a 25m competition pool, an easy access learner pool, a 60-station gym, a fi tness studio and a sauna.

Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre Kirkcaldy, UK
The new £15.3m (18.8m, US$24.6m) lei- sure centre in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, is ”on target” to open to the public this summer, with work on the building’s steel structure having now been completed. Graham Construction is responsible for delivering the project, with B3 architects act- ing as lead consultant and joint architects with Cre8architecture.

Facilities will include a 25m, six-lane swimming pool, a training pool with move- able fl oor, accessible wet-side changing areas and a health suite with a sauna and steamroom. A 60-station fi tness suite, an aerobics studio, a four-court sports hall and a children’s play area will also be on offer at the centre, which will be run by Fife Sports and Leisure Trust.
The new Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre is one
of three being built as part of Fife Council’s wider £55m (67.6m, US$88.3m) Future of Leisure programme.
