Dartmouth Shakespeare Week is ten years old! If you have never experienced open-air theatre, particularly in this magnificent setting, then I would strongly advise you to go to the Tourist Information Centre and grab a ticket right now! This is one of Shakespeare’s most popular comedies, and a true crowd-pleaser; expect no surreal twists! The Company have invited as many of the 200 plus performers from previous years as could be found, to join them on stage in the crowd scenes and say thanks to all the audiences who have graced the auditorium in the last ten years. As ever, they hope to raise a significant amount to donate to local charities and causes (over £2,000 from Macbeth and some £1,700 from As You Like It last year) and they hope to see you there to help them celebrate. Next year’s spectacular will be something even more ambitious, dramatic and exciting: King Lear! Onward and upward!
