Remember, “God is in the details”. Having a piece of art or a trinket displayed that has little value or meaning to you is counter- productive, if warmth and serenity is what you are seeking.
Your home should feel like a warm blanket that wraps around you and makes you feel cozy and secure. The first step to creating your sacred sanctuary would be to go through each room in your home and remove anything that you don’t love or that doesn’t hold happy memories for you.
Remember, everything has energy. The birthday gift that someone bought for you on their vacation to Mexico is not contributing to the expansion of your soul. Mindful is meaningful when it comes to your home.
Photos of faces and places from the past freeze moments in time. Make sure those are memories and energies that still feel good to you today. If you are uncertain about a particular object, ask your soul and trust your intuition when it an- swers.
The next step would be to focus on one room at a time. Your bedroom or an area where you like the natural light would be a great spot to start creating your new intentional space. If taking on an entire room seems like too big of a step, consider screening or cur- taining off a portion of a room. Having a boundary will make your sacred space feel contained and
