the City of Franklin, NH. issued a certificate honor- ing Bernice J. Sinclair. The Commonwealth of
Massachusetts awarded her a testimonial citing her duties in World War II signed by Maurice J. Tobin, Governor. She received ac- colades from President Harry Truman and later from William J. Clinton. She also received Euro- pean, African and Middle Eastern Campaign medals as well as a World War II Victory Medal, a Meritori-
ous Service Unit plaque and six overseas stripes and five battle stars. Following the war Lt.
Colonel Bernice Sinclair returned to New Hamp- shire and became the head supervisory nurse at the Manchester, N.H. Veter- ans Hospital. After retirement she
spent the rest of her life at Havenwood Heritage Heights in Concord, N.H. Bernice passed away in 1994.
