TRAIN SERVICE
German train website in English language:
http://www.bahn.de/international/view/en/index.shtml German trains are clean, comfortable, reliable and fast. Germany’s privatized national railway, the Deutsche Bahn, is operating more super-fast InterCity Express (ICE) trains than ever before. The price of long distance rail travel is lower than it used to be (though short distances cost more) and there are other ways of saving for the savvy traveller. Major features here are the “Sparpreis 50“ and the “Sparpreis 25“. Under the “Sparpreis 50“ you pay only half the normal fare, but there are a number of conditions. With “Sparpreis 25“ you only get 25% off your ticket, but you aren’t restricted to weekend travel. For further details visit the HIVE and pick up the “How to Germany“ booklet.
