MONEY MATTERS

We hold a wide range of leaflets that can help if you have money problems. All main international credit cards are widely accepted in large retail outlets, petrol stations, hotels and restaurants. It is also possible to withdraw cash, with a debit/credit card, from a large network of cash point machines. Please be aware, however that smaller businesses may not accept credit card payments and you are advised to check prior to purchase. Traveller’s cheques are best exchanged at an exchange bureau (wechselburo) or banks as they are not always accepted as payment in stores, restaurants or hotels. Traveller’s cheques in Euro’s tend to be more widely accepted plus they do not normally incur a handling charge.
