By Kelly Bowers

Information Submitted by France Vanier

North American Equine Train- ers is a new company that provides a program bringing diverse training methods together. Using such pro- grams such as Lyons, Cox, Ander- son, Parelli, Reis, and others, NAET will provide quality instruc- tion and training for all horse people through certification programs, training camps, demos and more. The goal is to make equine educa- tion more accessible, affordable and accessible to all equestrians. The pro-

gram will be taught throughout Canada, the U.S., and abroad thus making it more accessi- ble to all horse people who are eager to learn a higher level of safer horse- manship tech- niques for their own ben- efit and as a way to enhance their employment opportunities.

In May of this year, NAET held it’s first offi- cial clinic at Pine Haven Quarter Horses in Plan- tagenet, Ontario. It was a great success which beginning with demo night, trainer challenges and followed by two rider clinics. The clinic brought together talent from all over and horse enthusiasts from across Ontario and Quebec. Participants experienced a variety of schools of thought to demonstrate how they work together using the same philoso- phy that #1 the rider should not get hurt, #2 the horse should not get hurt and #3 horse and rider should be calmer at the end to create a rela- tionship built of trust and mutual respect. During the chal- lenge, three young hors-

Organizers are excited about the new beginning of NAET and look forward to travelling to promote their combined approach to horsemanship. Recently, NAET travelled east to the Maritimes and in July will be in the U.S.A. Their first Certification Program will be held in St. Lazare in September. Keep your eye on NAET! They aim to provide the “best of the best”.
