AFFLUENT CONSUMERS are still booking high- value holidays in travel agencies, according to research commissioned by ttgluxuryand set to be unveiled at the Building The Best Luxury Travel Business virtual event on September 7-8. The research into booking habits will be analysed by Advantage Travel Centres sales and marketing director Colin O’Neill, Cox & Kings sales development manager Roop Kumar and Crystal Cruises national accounts manager Mick DuPont during a To Book Or Not To Book webinar. More than 700 travel agents and suppliers
have registered to attend, with 62% owners, directors or heads of department. There will also be 25 speakers and panellists
from travel and luxury brands, including Sue Harmsworth, ESPA’s founder and chief executive; Georgia Fendley, Mulberry’s brand director; and John Ayton, who sold Links of London for £50m. Speakers from the travel sector will include Bridge & Wickers founder Jerry Bridge, Azamara Club Cruises chief executive Larry Pimentel, Haslemere Travel managing director Gemma Antrobus and ITC Classics business development director Lee Marshall. agency sales co-ordinator Bev Townend. “This is an exciting networking medium where agents can meet our business development team and hear about our new fair trade policy,” he explained. Jumeirah will promote new resorts in Frankfurt and the Maldives. Ed Purnell, director of marketing Europe, said: “The beauty of the event is that hote- liers and staff can join us remotely on the stand.” Crystal Cruises’ UK sales and marketing
