Zenith adds nine European resorts

SKI SPECIALIST Zenith Holidays has added nine new resorts across Europe as it looks to expand in its second year of operation. Zenith was set up last year by former Crystal Ski managing director Stuart McLeod and Kate Waddington, who was previously manager of Crystal’s Active division. New resorts for 2010-11 include Les Deux Alpes, Orelle and Morzine in France, Switzer- land’s Zermatt and Jasna in Slovakia. The web-based company has also introduced 21

apartments, 15 hotels and five self-catered chalets. Zenith features lower profile resorts, such as

Austria’s Pitztal and France’s St Jean Montclar. “No one is saying that skiing or snowboarding is a cheap holiday,” said McLeod. “But by featur- ing less well-known resorts — which have great facilities, quality accommodation and are just as snow-sure and challenging — we are able to provide fantastic value at a reasonable price.” Seven nights at the French resort of Orelle

starts from £183 per person, based on four shar- ing an apartment, with a Eurotunnel crossing.

Enchanting Travels is set to offer its destinations of India, Africa and Latin America in the UK for the first time Enchanting tempted by UK move

ENCHANTING TRAVELS has its sights set on the UK market. The tailor-made specialist already has offices in Germany, India, Kenya, Argentina, Australia and the US, and offers agents 10% commission for referring clients.

It specialises in India, Africa and Latin Amer-

ica, and its individual tours are organised in consultation with a dedicated travel manager. However, it is now developing software to allow agents to create tailor-made itineraries

without needing in-depth destination knowledge. Associate director Scott Crouch said: “Guests

are not reliant on the services of third-party suppliers. All tours, locations and transport partners are personally researched and tested, from five-star palaces to two-room homestays. “We can make things happen at a moment’s notice. Whether that’s a walk through Delhi with a professor of architecture, a drive through Jaipur with a Maharaja’s vintage car or a private tango lesson in Buenos Aires.”
