this because we wanted to make sure that we got our positioning 100% correct and understood our potential customers in terms of what drives them, what they miss in today’s market place, and how to satisfy the same. Having not ever done an investment round before,
I have to say that it went a lot quicker than I could ever hope for or imagined as it took less than six weeks to initiate and complete (¤2m from +30 different investors). Once investments had been secured, we ramped up
the production phase considerably. Up until then, Ihre Consulting had bank-rolled the project fully. Production phase took four months and testing another one month.
CIO: Did you hit your launch goal without
delays? EL: We launched with a six-week delay which I
would say was (in retrospect) the best we could do. We were very clear from the get-go with this project that positioning and execution were crucial keys so we would never launch anything that we didn’t feel delivered on both. I would also say that given the numerous amount of various parties involved launching the site, perhaps our original estimate was a bit too optimistic. I would have to say that our COO, Yrsa Thunholm,
was an absolute key to coordinate all parties involved. That along with our other team members’ senior experience was key, as we have all been through various projects in our past knowing what crucial

pitfalls we might encounter. Key to solving all problems was an eye for details and coordination combined with the most crucial one - communication.
CIO: You’ve describe yourselves as “one of the
very few [online casinos] with very clear positioning in the market place”. Can you tell us what you mean by that, and what exactly is your positioning?
EL: Our positioning is that we want to become the leading global table games casino. I think that
