BEARINGS SUIT SOLAR POWER
Being corrosion free and resistant to extreme temperatures and ultra violet light, water, dirt and dust, igus’ polymer bearings are suitable for solar panels. The drylin leadscrew nuts and igubal
pillow block and rod end bearings, for example, are an alternative to metallic bearings. Suitable for high load applications, the bearings are also self-lubricating and maintenance-free.
ATTACH TEST LEADS TO HEX SOCKET SCREWS WITH NEW ADAPTER
New from Multi-Contact are Variogrip adapters, which enable test leads to be quickly and safely attached to hex socket screws. The adapters have a split
hexagonal tip that expands on turning a knob at the rear so that it is firmly held inside the socket. This produces multiple contact points which ensure low contact resistance. The adapter can be safely attached or removed while the screws are electrically live, the company explains. The adapters are rated at 1000V, CAT IV and 24A and are

available in two sizes, for 5mm and 6mm hex sockets. These have a grey or black knob respectively. In addition, they are available in black, red or blue, and accept 4mm safety leads.

In addition to brass and aluminium versions, the threaded connections of Eisele’s LIQUIDLINE 2500 series are now also available in stainless steel. The range is designed for use in closed coolant applications and with its patented connection technology, with a seal made of FPM (Viton) and an inner collet that holds the hose without damaging it, the hoses are held securely and leak-free in the connections, even in the event of frequent vibrations or movements of the hose. Despite this, they can be easily disconnected and reconnected even after extended periods of time. The stainless steel versions are beneficial for applications with system components requiring good cleanability and high resistance to corrosion, or connection of cooling elements made of stainless steel. The material 1.4404 offers resistance to corrosion and chemicals, enabling its use in the food industry. The threaded connections are equipped with high-quality FPM seals. One is designed as an enclosed O-ring
on the cylindrical threads of the threaded element, and the other is between the banjo fitting and the inner collet of the threaded connection. On request, the series can also be equipped with FDA-compliant seals. All connections in the series are resistant to high temperatures, aqueous media and many other substances. They are optimised for dissipating heat from applications such as welding processes or power electronics installations. In addition to the 2500 series with threaded connections there are
two more series that feature release sleeves. If in addition to the flow rate an especially good seal of the connections is needed, the push-in connections of the LIQUIDLINE 2400 series with two seals are available. They are designed for operating pressures from -0.95 to 24 bar and in certain applications even up to 100 bar. The push-in connections of the 2600 series with release sleeves and a seal ring are suitable for pressures from -0.95 to 16 bar.

Cliff Electronics has expanded its range of AC synchronous gear motors to include a greater range of speeds, from 1-100rpm, increased torques from 0.5-16 kgf/cm at typically 2W to 4W and a number of reversible motor models. These are suitable for applications including labelling systems, gaming consoles, vending machines,

individual wire of an M23 master cable, terminating and routing them into the control cabinet with multipole cables, the junction box only requires one standard M12 cable. The signals can come, for example, from proximity switches, pushbutton actuators, optical switches or also temperature sensors with a switch output. The use of the junction boxes is recommended when a large number of signals have to be routed from the machine to the control cabinet.

PASSIVE JUNCTION BOX RANGE EXTENDED
Two active IO-Link variants have been added to Turck Banner’s range of passive junction boxes. These combine 16 switching status elements in a 16-bit IO-Link signal, bringing 16 switching signals from the machine to the control cabinet via a single standard cable.
RACK SWITCHES FOR DATA CENTRES
Rugged managed switches for deployment in 19” racks, as used in control centres and data centres, are now available from Phoenix Contact. The switches offer the advantages of
industrial Ethernet in a suitable 19” rack format and are designed for extreme electromechanical and climatic conditions. They also fully comply with the IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 requirements for deployment in energy systems. These are capable of handling a temperature range from -40˚C to +70˚C. Despite 28 Ethernet ports, the units
only take up one rack unit in the switching cabinet and they are available with copper or fibre-optic ports.
