Last year acted on behalf of THE POLO/LAUREN COMPANY, L.P. at the Judicial Court, in a case which involved the local distributor of the brand name. The case concluded with an Agreement between the parts to the satisfaction of both parties.


Also, it was concluded the favorable destruction of counterfeited goods on behalf of longtime client and agrochemical company SYNGENTA. The Law Firm actively participated in the actual destructions process overseeing that contains of each bottle are destroyed and the bottles and logos tore up.


New border measures taken on behalf of several clients, such as, PIONEER HI-BRED INTERNATIONAL, INC., and CONAIR CORP by filing in a proactive manner their trademarks at the Customs office. Availability search and watching service search of new local commercial societies on behalf of BBVA.


New actions filed at the Contentious-Administrative


Court on behalf of Johnson & Johnson, against the TMO administrative resolutions which rejected its bottle design applications. The Law Firm does not consider that there were grounds for the rejection and decided to appeal to the mentioned court in order to reverse this criterion. The decision, if favorable, will establish jurisprudence for future cases.


Extensive registration and protection program on behalf of FIFA regarding the logos and word name of the upcoming World Cup and its mascot. Also it is important to mention that we have filed oppositions against new local applications which sought to register the design of the cup under a different name.


Active collaboration with the public sector, congress members and representatives of the Supreme Court, and the private sector along with other colleagues in regards to the elaboration of laws and regulatory decrees concerning Intellectual Property.
