Mark Fennessy is a Partner and heads the firm's European Restructuring Group.


Mark has extensive knowledge of, and experience in, all


areas of contentious and non-contentious turnaround and insolvency matters. His particular strengths lie in dealing with multifaceted group collapses and insolvency issues, which are of an international nature.


Mark’s experience includes advising on some of the most complex and innovative global restructuring transactions in the market including the restructuring of the Cheyne Finance, Rhinebridge, Whistlejacket and Sigma Finance, all Structured Investment Vehicles as well as CMBS

Mark heads a group of proven individuals in London with an excellent client following and a high level of technical English law expertise. It has an excellent track record advising on some of the most complex cross-border transactions in both Europe and internationally including market leading restructuring mandates, most recently in relation to MF Global.


The group has a track record of adopting an integrated approach to client service together with other practice areas (including corporate, tax, employment and regulatory) and in developing business opportunities for practitioners in these areas. The group frequently deals with multi-jurisdictional matters involving co-ordination of many legal and financial advisers where necessary.
