Society of Shoe Fitters - Course starts this month

The Society of Shoe Fitters 5 month course with two practical workshop

days, starts 1st September, so for those who have had a good back-to-school, stocking adult footwear and want to fit senior feet more professionally (or perhaps you need to offset some tax!), why not invest in training for your staff and create an SSF member?

so the training to qualification is just the start, full membership continues to give help and support.

The British Footwear Association is pleased to announce it has secured financial support from UKTI in line with increased funding for UK companies whose goal is to increase their export business in emerging BRICS markets.

As a result of this new government export initiative, the BFA will be taking 10 British companies to MICAM Shanghai 11-13 October for the first time - where they will show as part of a special British Edition area.

Companies showing in the British Edition area will be - Kat Maconie, Base

London, Esska, Steptronic, Gola International, Solovair, Paradox London, Kirby Shoes, Bourne Shoes and Park Lane London.

The BFA, working alongside partners in China, will provide business

support services and personnel including Chinese interpreters. As is now established strategy the BFA will develop a programme of marketing around the show, including, a pre-show microsite as part of the main BFA website, to promote each brand and their collections. However, this time the site will be in both English and Chinese.

The plan also aims to utilise social media prior, at and post show to

publicise the brands and good news stories via Sino Weibo and other online Chinese digital platforms.

John Saunders – Sales and Marketing Director says “This is fantastic new

opportunity for British Footwear to showcase their brands in this fast growing market. As always we are very grateful to UKTI for their tremendous support and to the exhibitors who have been courageous enough to blaze a trail for British Footwear in what is an exciting but at the same time highly challenging market”.

The BFA looks forward to reporting back on the experience gained attending MICAM Shanghai in November.
