toile du Nord, French for “The Star of the North” is an accurate description of the beautiful state of Minnesota. Not only is this wonderful state surrounded by breath- taking lakes, forests and parks, but it also
has the thriving metropolis of Minneapolis-Saint Paul. If you are a planner who needs somewhere to host that next big meeting or event, checkout Minnesota. Your attendees will be glad you did! If your attendees have an adventurous spirit, head to Bemidji in northern Minnesota. Chippewa National Forest, several state parks and 400 lakes surround this quaint community. Your guests can go fi shing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking and more! If they pre- fer, they can golf at one of 13 golf courses within the community or peruse the small shops that line the city streets. Checkout Minneapolis-Saint Paul, or any one of the sur- rounding communities for a great time. Summer is the season for baseball, head to downtown Minneapolis and attend a Min- nesota Twins game at Target Field. Valleyfair in Shakopee or the Mall of America in Bloomington are another option that offers your guests a chance at a fun-fi lled day they will always remember.
Experience the charm and tradition of New Ulm, MN. This small community celebrates the deep roots of German culture through its food, beer and music. Visit the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame or take part in the Bavarian Blast festival that in- cludes a parade, 10K race, bands from Germany and more! Whether you are searching for outdoor adventure or some- thing else entirely, Minnesota has a lot to offer! Make this great state the destination of your next meeting or event!

isconsin is nicknamed “America’s Dairyland,” and as a meeting or event planner, you may won- der what this state has to offer your attendees besides milk and cheese. The truth is, Wisconsin has many great places and attractions through-
out the state. Your attendees will have so much fun they will be beg- ging to come back! Wisconsin Dells, The Waterpark Capital of the World®
, will make
a big splash with your attendees. There are numerous indoor and out- door waterparks for everyone to enjoy. Kalahari Resort is the home of Wisconsin’s largest indoor waterpark. It boasts the FlowRider®
, which
gives your attendees a chance to surf a fi ve-foot wave, similar to the waves of the ocean and MasterBlaster®
a 570 ft. water roller coaster!
Kalahari has over 100,000 sq. ft. of fl exible convention center space to meet the needs of a meeting or event of any size. Waterparks not your thing? Then head over to Milwaukee, the
state’s largest city. While in Milwaukee, you will fi nd plenty to enter- tain your attendees. Since the city is known for it’s brewing traditions, take your attendees to visit Milwaukee Brewery where your attendees can take a guided tour and relax with a beer sample or take them to Miller Park, home of the Milwaukee Brewers. There are many other opportunities throughout the city including the Milwaukee Art Mu- seum, Potawatomi Bingo Casino and the Harley-Davidson Museum. Whether your attendees are zipping down a water slide at Kalahari Resort or sipping a foamy drink at the Milwaukee Brewery, they are going to enjoy being in Wisconsin for your meeting or event. Don’t forget to checkout all the other great places to visit and explore while you are there!

T
he state of Missouri is rich with history. From fur trading with the Native Americans to the Louisiana
Purchase and the Civil War to Mark Twain, Mis-
souri’s past has shaped what it is today. People of all ages enjoy this beautiful state and all it has to offer. Attendees can im- merse themselves in the history and culture of this great state when you choose Missouri as your next meeting destination. There is no shortage of fun when you take your attendees to
St. Louis. Probably most associated with the Gateway Arch, you will want to make sure your attendees take the tram to the top! Stroll through the Missouri Botanical Garden or take a walk through Forest Park, home of the 1904 World’s Fair. While in town make sure your attendees try St. Louis-style thin crust pizza and the yummy butter cake for dessert. In Hannibal, the boyhood home of author Mark Twain,
your attendees will enjoy a ride on the Mark Twain River- boat as they listen to the sounds of modern jazz, big band and blues. For more Mark Twain adventure, visit the Mark Twain Memorial Lighthouse, the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum, and the Mark Twain Cave, which is the cave that inspired the author’s novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Of course, there are many other great places and attrac-
tions in the state of Missouri your attendees are sure to love and all have something unique to offer. If you are unsure where to go for your next meeting or event, choose Missouri! You’ll be glad you did!
