A KV2 Audio system has been installed in the Civic Town Theatre in Pisek, Czech Republic as part of a major refurbishment of the 144-year-old building. KV2’s George Krampera
created two individual systems for the venue. The first was a music system comprising KV2 Audio ESR215 loudspeakers on each side of the stage, built into defined acoustical recesses in the walls so the speakers were not immediately visible. Four small KV2 ESD6
two-way enclosures were used
to provide intelligibility underneath the balcony. Unusually, four single 21”
subwoofers were placed in the ceiling in the centre of the auditorium, the idea being that at this position, the theatre seats were within an ideal proportion of similar distance from the subwoofers.
The second system (primarily
used for speech) comprises four ESD12 loudspeaker enclosures at each corner of the stage with a further three ESD6 units placed at the immediate front edge of the stage. n www.kv2audio.com
AS PART of a technical upgrade, the PA system at Opéra de Lausanne is now built around an Adamson Metrix system controlled and amplified by Lab.gruppen PLM10000Q. Two left and right arrays of three Metrix 5˚ boxes take
care of the main floor level, on the same array one sub and two specially aimed Metrix 5˚ boxes cover the balconies.
The PA systems have been fully integrated into the venue with each level boasting its own
distribution system incorporated into the small balconies just left and right of the stage.
