Jünger Audio is moving further into the outside broadcast market with Kazakhstan broadcaster KTKmost recently adding the company’s D*AP LM4 processor into its DSNG truck. Lithuanian systems integrator TVC performed the installation. Having the processor inside the vehicle means that KTK can tackle audio level changes right at the start of the production process. www.junger-audio.com

Modernising with MCI By Erica Basnicki

HESSISCHER RUNDFUNK (HR), the German public broadcaster in the state of Hesse, commissioned Studio Hamburg Media Consult International (MCI) to modernise its four broadcast facilities in 2012. The broadcaster opted for 16 Mandozzi SERIX audio mixers connected to IDEA audio matrices. The pre-existing IHSE Draco tera KVM matrices, d’accord automation systems and interfaces will remain at each facility. MCI will also supply customised furniture. Each complex consists of two one-man studios, a production area, a support area and a multifunctional zone, almost identically equipped for flexibility in the editorial process.

During the refurbishment, each

complex will be completely gutted. However, the modernisation process will take place in two stages of construction, so that broadcasts can continue on-site.

The first two facilities are scheduled to be finished in February 2013, and the second two are expected to be complete by March 2014. n www.studio-hamburg.de
