CAPITAL SOUND provided the Martin Audio MLA system specified by Mumford & Sons’ FOH engineer Chris Pollard for the band’s debut UK arena tour in December. In addition, Capital Sound supplied a four- man PA crew including system engineer Marty Beath, one of the recently trained MLA technicians;
crew chief Fabrice Quirin, who has worked with the band during the past 18 months, Mark (Magic) Ellis Cope on main PA duties and Tom Whitbread taking care of stage micing. Pollard opted for a Midas XL4 at FOH while monitor engineer Joel Gregg took out a DiGiCo SD10 console. In other news, Capital Productions was asked to
manager Robin Conway handled the audio, while Paul Timmins took over the production role for this one-off, which featured eight dancers specially flown in from Australia. Regular sound engineers Kevin Pruce and Dan Kent, at FOH and monitors respectively, specified the control, which

ON 30 NOVEMBERRiedel Communications celebrated its 25th anniversary at its headquarters in Wuppertal, Germany. Over 1,400 guests attended the event, which included five different areas with accessible installations, 3D project mappings, outdoor whirlpools and even a fire show.
Additionally, there were a number of performances including high-wire
acrobats and Robocross, a heavy metal robot band (top image). “It is incredible, what my team has realised in the past 25 years,” said company founder Thomas Riedel. “Their dedication and passion play a vital role in our success.
