WHITE DZAMBHALA AND THE 4 DAKINIS ensure there is continued financial stability for the family and family business. Actually, I have two tableaus where I pay reverence to this wealth deity, and this one is part of a beautiful water feature which has specially-designed platforms for me to place the Dzambhala as well as the four wealth dakinis. Tere are several rituals that accompany supplications to the Dzambhala, which I learnt when I first encountered the Tibetan lineages of Buddhist practice. I found these to be powerful rituals of excellent spiritual feng shui.

WHITE HIBISCUS reflects sentimental

WALL OF feelings for

these special gifts from my brother Phillip, who gave me the embroidery, and Audrey my niece, who painted this white hibiscus specially for me. I am constantly reminded of her artistic talent seeing this gorgeous oil painting, which reminds me of the Georgia O’Keefe paintings of flowers I used to love when I was younger. Tese flowers are also offerings to the holy objects in the home. Offering flowers to Buddha is said to make one more beautiful!

THE LAUGHING BUDDHA acquired during my Hong Kong days, and their presence in the home brings in the very important feng shui that we will not become victims of injustice or unfairness – an aspect of good feng shui frequently forgotten. Te Laughing Buddha is in a stance I am very fond of. It is the posture of victory!

JUSTICE PAO AND

MY BUDDHA CABINET where I keep small statues (we call them rupas) of the 35 Confession Buddhas of the five Buddha families and also the 7 Sugata brothers who are the Medicine Buddhas. Below are a row of water-offering bowls, which are changed each morning, and the cabinet is kept lit through all hours of night and day. Tis cabinet is very near the center of the house and helps suppress all afflictions brought by bad feng shui winds.
