The HBZ CompactCell with pallet sizes of 2 × 1, 3 × 1, and 4 × 1 m produces low cost per piece, low unit costs, high output, and superior surface quality in aerospace applications. HBZ model 300/100 is for machining aluminum up to 3 × 1 m is available with rail automa- tion that allows set up of a second pallet while the first workpiece is in production, minimizing downtime. The machine features a 52-kW and 30,000-rpm spindle and has X-Y-Z travels of 3650 × 1100 × 550 mm. An advan- tage of the vertical position of the pallet during machining is the vertical drop down of chips and coolant, reducing cleaning effort and time required, optimizing workpiece quality, and extending tool life.
