Planes of WRAM & Toledo 2012

At ¹⁄₃ scale, Paul Westrich’s Fokker D-VII (above left) spans 117 inches. He built it from a Glen Torrance kit with loads of detail. At only ¹⁄₉ scale, the crisp, accurate detail on Rob Caso’s DH. 2 pusher (above right) is very impressive. Hal Parenti

has specialized in the Ryan FR-1 Fireball(below left). This one spans 72 inches, and flew at 19¹⁄₂ pounds with a Y.S. 1.20. Scott Miller used water base polyurethane to finish his JetCat powered BVM MiG-15 (below right).

A unique plane for its time, the 42-inch Nemeth Hi-Triwing (above left) that Lawrence Latowski built featured a beautiful silk/dope finish. Paul Weigand built this 121-inch Culver Dart (above right) 20 years ago as a gas plane and then

converted it to electric. Another Latowski silk/dope finish, the towline Jasco Floater(below left). Rick Boyer adorned his BVM MiG-15-bis (below right) with a Flite Metal finish trimmed as “White 384 “ of the Soviet Air Force, circa 1951.
